Traficom vehicle data, snapshot 30.06.2026. Passenger cars refer to class M1 in the dataset. Classification alone does not indicate traffic use. Municipality is the register's municipal association, not where the vehicle is used.

Shares use all passenger cars as the denominator, including unknown makes and models. A local insight requires at least 100 passenger cars in the municipality, 30 of the make locally, 100 nationally, a national share of at least 1%, and a local share at least 1.25 times the national share. It describes a difference in this snapshot, without testing statistical significance.

Averages use valid observations and each metric's own observation count. Age is calculated from first registration as days / 365.2425, at reference date 2026-10-04. Power and weight must be positive; zero is a valid odometer reading. The year distribution describes existing vehicles, rather than sales or change over time.

Fuel and colour names follow Traficom's code list, 24 March 2026 . Hybrid classification uses hybrid and hybrid_class: 01 means external charging, 02 means no external charging. Missing hybrid information does not mean non-hybrid. Fuel-cell hybrids and conflicting or uninterpreted information are reported separately. Each vehicle is counted once. Colour code 0 means black; a missing colour is unknown.

Municipality names and codes follow Statistics Finland's municipal classification 2026. Code 000 represents an unknown municipality in general distributions and the national total in the registration-year table. It cannot be searched as a municipality.
